About the role

You will own the path from a trained AREN checkpoint to a model running on a certified automotive SoC, inside the safety architecture of a shipping vehicle. This is the role that makes the research deployable.

Expect to be the person in the room who can talk about hypervisor partitioning, ASIL decomposition, and NPU memory budgets in the same conversation.

What you would work on

  • Runtime and deployment of AREN on NVIDIA DRIVE Thor, Snapdragon Ride Elite, and Exynos Auto-class platforms
  • Integration against certified hypervisors and safety islands
  • Quantization and precision strategy for mixed FP16, INT8, and INT4 inference
  • Debug and trace infrastructure that passes OEM safety review

What we expect

  • Ten or more years of automotive or embedded systems experience, with at least one shipped vehicle program
  • Hands-on familiarity with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR (classic and adaptive), or an equivalent safety-critical software discipline
  • Experience integrating against QNX, VxWorks, or Linux with PREEMPT_RT
  • A memory of what a real debug trace looks like at 2 a.m. on a vehicle rig

Logistics

  • On-site in Santa Clara, California
  • Full-time, full benefits
  • Compensation is competitive with Tier-1 principal engineering bands, plus equity
